THIS OFFBEAT LIFE - Self Improvement that Works!
The Art of Connecting Everything to Everything Else

After consuming about a zillion self-development products, we have distilled the best bits out of each, to bring you unvarnished information you can trust!

Welcome to the inaugural issue of This Offbeat Life! There's a certain amount of dithering that comes with an active mind, which keeps many of us from getting on with things the way we would like. It's time to remedy that. It's spring, and there are economic challenges gnawing at our door, and it's time to get going. We have renewed energy, but how do we get really good focus? As a consumer of anything that offers me enlightenment, I've found it useful to borrow a bit here and there to cobble together my own set of tools for living life the way I want. I think you'll find value in it.

Right now I'm in transition like so many these days. The whole ball game is changing for most people, and in my opinion it's a good thing. The illusion of job security has crumbled, and that's a good thing. (after the initial freaking out part, of course, which we hope won't take too long.) We're forced to become innovative, and look around at our community for a new way to be useful and make a living.

Laid off? Do a little damage control and then treat it like going back to school. You might have to retool from buggy whips to microchips. It takes an objective, time, and money. In a year or so, after some hard work and learning to adapt, what you can contribute and the state of the economy should be greatly changed - stronger, smarter, more efficient and better than ever.
